Our team here at Axium Solar consists of highly-qualified individuals, experienced in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of all major types of photovoltaic systems. Each are licensed, NABCEP-certified renewable energy experts who enjoy helping homeowners and businesses successfully transition to solar.
President & Chairman of The Board
Yvonne’s passion for renewable energy has been a key driver of Axium Solar’s momentum and success. Yvonne’s business savvy and entrepreneurial drive comes from years in the trenches as a corporate sales executive for a leading insurance provider.
Her passion for renewable energy was developed out of a growing concern about the volatility of traditional energy sources and a conviction that sustainable forms of energy must be implemented as a means to secure our future and generations to come.
Founder & Vice President of Operations
Bob oversees construction at Axium Solar and co-owns Axium Electric (d.b.a Automated Controls), which specializes in the installation of low voltage energy management systems. Bob has nearly 30 years in the energy industry.
Bob started Axium Solar after a successful pilot project at his own net zero energy home consisting of single axis tracking solar PV, a wind turbine and solar hot water system.
Bob insists on quality and reliability. As such, Axium Solar has a reputation of being second to none when it comes to quality of construction.
Bob enjoys boating and anything associated with being around the water.
Owner and Construction Manager
Mike is a Master Electrician, certified NABCEP PV installer, and is OSHA 30 certified. He brings 20+ years of strategic planning and construction management expertise to Axium Solar. Under his leadership, Axium Solar maintains the highest degree of safety standards and construction efficiency.
Mike serves as Axium Solar’s project manager and runs co-owned Axium Electric which specializes in the installation of building management systems.
In his spare time, Mike and his wife of 16 years, enjoy many activities with their sons including baseball, hunting and working on cars.
Owner and Construction Manager
With over twenty years of experience in the industry, Derik brings a wealth of energy management and renewable energy knowledge to the Axium team. Derik is an owner and officer of Axium Solar. He is responsible for scheduling, manpower forecasting, project development and construction management.
Derik has managed projects for many high-profile customers including American Airlines and DFW Airport. Derik is best known for his ability to tackle the most demanding, time-critical installations and bring them in on-time and under-budget.
Vice President and General Manager
Eric has been leading business development at Axium Solar since 2010 and has previously held positions at Schneider Electric and Gridpoint.
Eric has experience developing solar PV projects in many market segments including utility, state and local governments, federal government and corporations. His experience and knowledge of PV applications covers everything from large scale ground mount systems to parking canopies to rooftop systems.
Eric is a LEED AP and has a BA from Midwestern State University and an MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
Residential Sales Manager
Jenne’s passion for sustainable and solar energy has led her to follow innovation in the industry, in territories such as Hawaii, Hong Kong, and the Northeast U.S. With over 10 years of in-depth solar sales experience, Jenne possesses a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end solar solutions and customer success, from manufacturing through distribution, installation, and product optimization, using an organic approach to perceive and fulfill the specific needs of every end-user.
Jenne’s previous solar experience includes holding a position as Tesla Energy’s first-ever Solar Energy Advisor, South Central Account Manager for Solarworld and opening the Hawaii solar market for Sunrun. When Jenne isn’t selling sunshine, she’s enjoying time with her two Brittany Spaniels, adoring her two nieces, and is often seen riding around her hometown of Plano, Texas on her Triumph Bonneville.
Commercial Project Development Manager
Tom has extensive experience in complex, technical sales with a consistent track record of success. He began in the Solar industry in 2008 after spending 20+ years in technology and has developed and closed some of the largest PV installations in the DFW area. Tom’s responsibilities include large commercial project development in Texas.
Tom enjoys his free time playing golf, spending time with his grandson and making his world-class green chili salsa.
Business Development Manager
Andrew is responsible for business development. He has a broad exposure to sustainability and renewable energy through a career in commercial real-estate development as well as two years of PV installation experience and a degree in Environmental Technology with a focus on Solar PV.
Andrew brought this experience to Axium Solar in 2012 and has been responsible for growing Axium Solar’s stellar reputation in residential and small commercial solar in DFW.
The proud father of triplets, Andrew and his family can be found most weekends enjoying the outdoors at the Arbor Hills nature preserve or Lake Lewisville, dog included.
Sr. Project Engineer
Thomas is an integral member of the Axium Solar team. He is responsible for Axium Solar’s design standards, procurement processes and project documentation. Thomas also works to bring innovative technologies to maximize efficiency at every stage of project development.
Thomas is the “go to” guy whenever someone has a question around the office or out in the field. “Hey Thomas” is a phrase often heard at Axium Solar. Whatever the question that follows, he quickly and reliably has the correct answer.
Charles is a project engineer responsible for PV specification, design, and permitting. His vision of a sustainable future and freedom from fossil fuel dependence inspired Charles to leave his longtime career in aviation electronics and pursue a career in renewable energy.
He returned to university and graduated with a dual degree in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Missouri University of Science and Technology. While at Missouri S&T, he competed in the USDOE Solar Decathlon as the electrical lead for the Solar House Team.
Paul Rapp graduated from Texas A&M University, in 1985, with Bachelors’ Degrees in Accounting and Finance. He also holds Associates Degrees in Engineering and Renewable/Sustainable Energy, from Illinois Central College and Eastfield College, respectively.
He brings with him thirty years of comprehensive, professional accounting experience, including over 17 years in manufacturing cost accounting environments.
Paul has earned his OSHA 30 & OSHA 510 certifications.
Sr Construction Manager
Anthony Fernandez has been leading solar photovoltaic and electrical construction for over 15 years at Axium Solar and sister company, Axium Electric. Anthony is responsible for Axium Solar’s on-site project management and is skilled at taking even the most challenging projects and ensuring that they are completed on time and in budget.
Anthony is known for being a perfectionist and will not accept anything but the best when it comes to construction. His insistence on quality is the cornerstone behind Axium Solar’s market reputation for construction excellence.
Anthony is a Master Electrician registered with the State of Texas, a NABCEP Certified PV Installer and is OSHA 30 certified.
Lindsey Fernandez has been leading solar photovoltaic and electrical construction for over 17 years at Axium Solar and sister company, Axium Electric. Lindsey is one of Axium Solar’s top project foremen and has been tasked with tackling many of Axium Solar’s utility and critical environments projects.
Some of Lindsey’s key projects include CoServ Electric Utility (2.6 MW), Toyota North American Headquarters (8.8 MW), Oncor Electric Delivery’s Microgrid facility, Alcon/Novartis Data Center, and United Foods Distribution Facility.
Lindsey is a Journeyman electrician registered with the State of Texas and is OSHA 30 certified.
Vanessa leads Axium Solar’s Service and O&M department. She combines her skills in project management and analytics, with her devotion to customer assistance, to provide excellence in service. She plans, schedules and ensures execution of preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of solar arrays, from residential through utility-scale. Vanessa also works closely with OEM vendors regarding equipment maintenance and repairs to increase array optimization and asset longevity.
Vanessa is registered with TDLR and is OSHA 30 & OSHA 510 certified. She is also a member of North Texas Renewable Energy Group and Texas Solar Energy Society.
Mariah combines her excellent customer service skills and construction knowledge to support a variety of projects and more importantly, our customers.
In addition to helping us stay organized, Mariah is working towards her ASL Interpreter Certification and a degree in business management.
Mariah is also registered with TDLR and is working towards her OSHA 30.
Sr. Service Technician
Jason Shaw has been in electrical construction for over 22 years, including building energy management and solar PV. He is responsible for Axium Solar's South Texas service area for commissioning, service and O&M needs of clients and customers.
He is known for being the first deaf NABCEP-certified PV installer in the nation! After meeting this important career milestone, he is motivated to pursue additional qualifications as well as being active in helping other deaf individuals get into the electrical field. For his effort with the deaf community, he has received Texas Governor's Lex Frieden award.
Jason is a Master Electrician registered with the State of Texas, a NABCEP Certified PV Installer and certified OSHA 30.
Sr. Service Technician
Mark has worked in solar for 12 year, 6 of them with Axium Solar. He is responsible for Axium Solar's North Texas service area for commissioning, service and O&M needs of clients and customers.
He has received factory training and certification with the major inverter companies and is an registered with TDLR. He is also OSHA 30 certified.
