Axium Solar designs, installs, commissions, services and maintains commercial and utility scale solar. And we are hiring!

We are looking for 4-year+ Journeyman Electricians and Solar PV Installers. There may be some helper and laborer positions available, too!


Physical Requirements:

  • All our positions are on the field, whether on a commercial roof or at a rural, utility-scale site, so you should be prepared to work in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat.
  • You should be physically able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
  • Navigating stairs, ladders, scaffolding, various terrain and general construction site conditions.

General Requirements:

  • Possess valid, non-expired Texas TDLR license - Or acquire it upon hire.
  • Have valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Be willing to travel - with the ability to be away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time.

Safety:

  • You should have your OSHA 10 or 30 - Or be willing to acquire within 30 days of employment.
  • Expect to observe and adhere to OSHA regulations pertaining to construction sites.
  • You must understand & adhere to proper LOTO procedures.

Additional Requirements for Job Leads:

  • At least 10 years proven working experience in electrical construction, with at least 5 in construction management
  • Electrical construction experience required
  • Experience with electrical construction over 600V is desired
  • Electrical construction management required
  • Proactive rather than reactive management style - this is a "player/coach" position.
  • Electrical experience on large commercial or utility solar preferred
  • Master Electrician preferred. Journeyman acceptable
  • Minimum of OSHA 30 
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Ability to operate construction vehicles, mechanized devices or equipment; running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, passenger vehicles, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Can read and interpret project drawings and other written information.
  • Accurate and thorough, with attention to detail.
  • Exhibit sound and accurate judgment and work with integrity and ethics.
