Job Description: The Utility Solar Lead Electrician is a full-time position reporting to the Construction Project Manager for the purpose of assembling, installing, and maintaining utility scale solar panel systems, as well as other applications.

Job Type: Full time.

Hours: Depends on the job. Generally, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. However, there may be times when overtime is required to meet project deadlines.

Work Location:  100% travel to project locations during their duration.

Supplemental Pay:
  •Bonus pay

Preferred Experience & Background:
  •Minimum 10 years of electrical experience
  •Underground PVC & direct burial experience
  •Pad rough-in experience
  •Setting switchgear, transformer and terminating experience

Certifications, Licenses & Practices:
  •Journeyman electrician license is a requirement.
  •Medium-voltage certification is a big plus.
  •OSHA 30 certified or willing to work towards this goal within   first 90 of employment.
  •NFPA 70E Arc Flash certified – or willing to work towards this certification within 90 days of employment.
  •Read and adhere to site specific safety plans.
  •Have performed appropriate OSHA lockout / tagout procedures where appropriate.
  •Complete JHAs, LOTO forms, Employee Sign in Sheets, Toolbox Talks, Weekly Safety reports and others.

Basic Requirements:
  •Must be willing to travel nearly 100% of the time.
  •High school diploma or GED.
  •Valid driving license.
  •Insurable with good driving record.
  •Must purchase own basic tools – other company tools will be provided.

Environmental & Physical Requirements:
  •Work long hours to complete tasks and reach goals when necessary.
  •Ability to work in extreme temperatures and environments.
  •Perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

Experience:
  •Electrical: 10 years (Required)
  •Solar Installation: 4 years (Required)

License/Certification:
  •TDLR Electrical License (Required)
