Will I see a difference in how my appliances run if I go solar?

You will not see a difference in how your appliances run if your solar array is grid-tied.  This is because the grid will supplement your solar energy production to ensure a smooth flow of energy.  This most often happens at night, during really cloudy days and during storms.

If you are off-grid, you may notice a difference if you don’t have enough solar to compensate for your energy consumption and no battery backup so that you can use stored energy.
