Yvonne Cordell


President & Chairman of The Board

Yvonne’s passion for renewable energy has been a key driver of Axium Solar’s momentum and success. Yvonne’s business savvy and entrepreneurial drive comes from years in the trenches as a corporate sales executive for a leading insurance provider.

Her passion for renewable energy was developed out of a growing concern about the volatility of traditional energy sources and a conviction that sustainable forms of energy must be implemented as a means to secure our future and generations to come.



Bob Kendrick


Founder & Principal

Bob oversees construction at Axium Solar and co-owns Axium Electric (DBA Automated Controls), which specializes in the installation of low voltage energy management systems. Bob has nearly 30 years in the energy industry.

Bob started Axium Solar after a successful pilot project at his own net zero energy home consisting of single axis tracking solar PV, a wind turbine and solar hot water system.

Bob insists on quality and reliability. As such, Axium Solar has a reputation of being second to none when it comes to quality of construction.

Bob enjoys boating and anything associated with being around the water.


Mike Kendrick


Principal

Mike is a master electrician and is the license holder for Axium Solar. Mike is also a certified NABCEP PV installer and is OSHA 30 certified. He brings 20+ years of strategic planning and construction management expertise to Axium Solar. Under his leadership, Axium Solar maintains the highest degree of safety standards and construction efficiency.

In addition to serving as VP of Construction for Axium solar, Mike also runs co-owns Axium Electric (DBA Automated Controls) which specializes in the installation of building management systems.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and working on cars.



Derik Kendrick


Owner and Construction Manager

With over twenty years of experience in the industry, Derik brings a wealth of energy management and renewable energy knowledge to the Axium team. Derik is an owner and officer of Axium Solar. He is responsible for scheduling, manpower forecasting, project development and construction management.

Derik has managed projects for many high-profile customers including American Airlines and DFW Airport. Derik is best known for his ability to tackle the most demanding, time-critical installations and bring them in on-time and under-budget.

Derik is also the catalyst behind Axium’s work with the deaf community. Axium actively recruits and hires deaf employees and has received recognition from the Texas Governor’s office due to Derik’s leadership and example in this area.





Eric Cotney


Vice President & General Manager

Eric oversees business development, engineering, project management and general day to day operations at Axium Solar. He has been with Axium since 2010 and has sold and/or overseen the implementation of many of Axium Solar’s projects.

Eric has a diverse skill set, having worn several hats in his previous roles including engineering and design, estimating, project management, sales, and sales leadership. He attributes his success to a solid foundation built in these roles and a thorough understanding of the technical and financial aspects of behind the meter solar applications.

Eric has frequently been sought out by members of the design community to assist with the development of commercial projects in various market segments including K-12, higher education, small and large business as well as local, state and federal government.

Eric has a BA from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He is also a US Green Building Council LEED AP and has participated in numerous industry organizations over the years including the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA) and Clean Air through Energy Efficiency (Texas Energy Summit). Eric has been a guest speaker and panel member at various conferences and events including TREIA, CATEE, SPI, and the Dallas Electric Club to discuss the advancement of commercial solar in the Texas market.



Anthony Fernandez


Project/Construction Manager

Anthony Fernandez has been leading solar photovoltaic and electrical construction for over 15 years at Axium Solar and sister company, Axium Electric. Anthony is responsible for Axium Solar’s on-site project management and is skilled at taking even the most challenging projects and ensuring that they are completed on time and in budget.

Anthony is known for being a perfectionist and will not accept anything but the best when it comes to construction. His insistence on quality is the cornerstone behind Axium Solar’s market reputation for construction excellence.

Anthony is a Master Electrician registered with the State of Texas, a Journeyman Electrician in the State of Arkansas, a NABCEP Certified PV Installer and is OSHA 30 certified.



Lindsey Fernandez


Project/Construction Manager

Lindsey Fernandez has been leading solar photovoltaic and electrical construction for over 17 years at Axium Solar and sister company, Axium Electric. Lindsey is one of Axium Solar’s top project foremen and has been tasked with tackling many of Axium Solar’s utility and critical environments projects.

Some of Lindsey’s key projects include CoServ Electric Utility (2.6 MW), Toyota North American Headquarters (8.8 MW), Oncor Electric Delivery’s Microgrid facility, Alcon/Novartis Data Center, and United Foods Distribution Facility.

Lindsey is a Journeyman electrician registered with the State of Texas and is OSHA 30 certified.



Vanessa Green


Director of Safety & HR

Vanessa plays a dual role at Axium as director of Axium Solar’s safety program as well as director of human resources. Vanessa is devoted to keeping all Axium employees safe, healthy, and productive and has been integral in recruiting some of Axium’s recent talent. Vanessa also oversees corporate compliance with other third-party services and helps us maintain a stellar reputation with our expanding customer base.

Vanessa also supports Axium Electric (DBA Automated Controls) which specializes in the installation of building management systems.

Vanessa has earned her OSHA 30 and OSHA 510 safety manager certifications as well as CCAP and CHPSE. She is also trained and certified in NFPA 70E, LOTO, Competent Person Excavation, Competent Person Confined Space, Competent Person Trenching, Welding, SWP3 construction storm water pollution prevention plan preparer, QCIS Inspect & maintain construction sites for stormwater compliance, CPR/AED, First Aid & Bloodborne Pathogens.



Mark Gerlikovski


Supervisor, O&M

Mark has worked in solar since 2007. He is one of Axium Solar’s most experienced service technicians. In addition to his years of experience installing and maintaining PV systems, he has also received factory training and certification with many of the major equipment manufacturers.

Mark is a Journeyman Electrician registered with the State of Texas and in the State of Arkansas and is a NABCEP Certified PV Commissioning & Maintenance Specialist. Mark is also certified in OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, CPR/AED/First Aid and is a Competent Person Fall Protection.



Marc Moran


Project Manager

As project manager, Marc has the overall responsibility to ensure that commercial solar projects are completed successfully, project costs are managed to budget, and the schedule is completed in accordance with the contract milestones. Marc brings an entrepreneurial spirit to his responsibilities from years of experience as a General Contractor, Owner and operator. He is passionate about the opportunity that the Solar industry provides for the future of renewable energy.

Marc has a BS from the University of North Texas in Denton and is OSHA 30 certified.



Drew Lively


Project Coordinator

Drew is responsible for project billing, analysis and special projects as needed.

Drew is new to the team at Axium and is ready to make a name for himself. Drawn to the Solar Industry, he wants to build a foundation surrounded by people that will support him on his journey. Problem-solving and an ambitious mindset makes him a great person to call when you have a question no one else can answer.



Thomas Westman


Sr. Project Engineer

Thomas is an integral member of the Axium Solar team. He is responsible for Axium Solar’s design standards, procurement processes, project documentation, and oversees monitoring, commissioning, and reporting for new and existing systems.

Thomas also works to bring innovative technologies to maximize efficiency at every stage of project development. Thomas is the “go to” guy whenever someone has a question around the office or out in the field.



Saul DeAnda


Project Engineer

Saul is involved with designing, optimizing, and estimating upcoming projects. He is consistently attempting to figure out the best possible solution to meet customers' requirements along the various project stages. Saul also has experience in the field which adds to his ability to solve problems and better understand the construction process.

Saul has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering graduated from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a strong interest in everything related to electronics.



Brittany King


Administrative Assistant

Brittany is the first smiling face that people see when they come to Axium Solar’s office or the first person they talk to on the phone when calling in.

Brittany chips in on many duties including accounts payable/receivable, 1st level O&M, CRM maintenance and general office appearance. Brittany prides herself on world class customer service and makes sure that every customer is taken care of in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.
